2025 APEC Youth Engagement Workshop:
Connectivity, Partnership, and Opportunities
To enhance young people's understanding of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and promote cross-economy youth exchange, the Ministry of Education (MOE) of Taiwan guided the APEC Education Innovation Development Center at National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) in organizing the 2025 APEC Youth Engagement Workshop: Connectivity, Partnership, and Opportunities on July 3–4, 2025.
This two-day workshop welcomed 60 young delegates from 15 APEC member economies, highlighting the enthusiasm and initiative of the region's youth toward global issues and regional cooperation.
Cultivating Global Talent for a Digital and Sustainable Future
The MOE emphasized that as the Asia-Pacific region undergoes rapid digital transformation and strives toward sustainable development, the world needs young leaders with global perspectives, intercultural communication skills, and policy awareness. Through this initiative, the MOE aims to equip Taiwan's youth with hands-on experience in regional cooperation and international affairs, boosting their confidence and competence in multilateral forums.
The Ministry also expressed its sincere appreciation to NTUT for its continued dedication, and looks forward to seeing all participants grow and be inspired through this journey.
A Legacy of Youth Empowerment in APEC
Under the long-term guidance of the MOE, NTUT has actively participated in APEC initiatives since 2014, fostering regional dialogue and nurturing next-generation talent. Now in its seventh year, the workshop has received official endorsement from the APEC Human Resources Development Working Group (HRDWG)—a strong recognition from the international community of Taiwan's efforts to engage youth in global affairs.
This year's program featured immersive simulation exercises designed to sharpen policy thinking and expand cross-cultural understanding among young leaders.
